this is not the 1st email that didnt send a positive reply. however, what was different was that it had a straight-to-the point and curt message for me: Your portfolio/CV does not reflect what we want.

maybe it meant, we need like a 5yr exp designer, but u only had 1yr, so sorry abt that.
maybe it meant, we are into super graphic designers, u r more of a industrial designer, so sorry abt that.
but well, really, my first thought was, u r not good enough for me.
