last sunday, my granny took longer than usual in the bathroom for her shower.
concerned, my mum asked me to knock on her door.
there was a very feeble sound from her and i shouted for my sis.
the door was not locked.
we found our granny standing trying to wear her pants with her head bended down.
her face was flushed, anyone who stand in that position for long would too.
we were so scared, we asked her to quickly sit down on the toilet bowl to prevent blood gushing to her head.
she was almost unable to sit with her back straight, nor raise her head up.
i used my body and shoulder as support, as i felt her slump her whole weight on me.
it was the first time we encountered this.
though granny has grown visibly weaker and slimmer than her old stout healthy self; we have been dealing with more emotional level kinda things like her depression and anxiety.
i was so afraid.
after all, she's in her mid 80s.
it's great that she can still bathe on her own, faceate on her own, eat on her own, move on her own.
what more can we ask for?
as i recall, everytime i come home, her face brightens up into a smile, and acknowledges my return with a sprightly call of my name. her now watery muscle mass still mastering quite a strength to try to lift me up from my afternoon nap slumber to go eat dinner. or when, she will peek from the corner of the doorway to ask me n sis to sleep with her hand gestures while she is en route to her night toilet visits.
what am i to do without you?
btw on a side note, wow new template! nicee (:
